ticktok said: I may have answered your question before in another forum but if it wasn't you here goes, the simple answer is there isn't one, the only way to do it is to drain the gearbox and refill it with the correct amount of oil. Even that is easier said than done as there is no dedicated filler hole but it can be refilled via the gearbox I have a 2.8 JTD 2004 with automatic gear box (Spanish reg from new) When should the gearbox oil (ATF ? Technical 2018 Fiat Ducato 6 speed comfortmatic Gearbox I have a 1997 Fiat Ducato based MH with a 2.5Td engine. Have read on here and numerous other places about the 5th Gear failure and to over fill the gear box to ensure sufficient splash over to lub the 5th gear. Apparently the original recommended amount of oil was 1.25 litres but was revised to 1.9 litres. Does that sound the right amount? My 1.9td from 1996 takes 15w40 for engine and ep80/90w for gearbox and diff. if your box is not a hypoid you can use lower ep80 if u like, I'd stick with Ep80/90w-APGLI-5 as it covers everything Hope this helps 467.
