Distinguished Member. May 2, 2011. #2. You cannot connect Scart to HDMI, as Scart is analogue and HDMI digital. It may be that your Scart connection box uses just composite video instead of RGB. Look for a better quality box that switches all the colours instead. Does your current box switch between inputs or does it just connect them together One HDMI splitter (one to feed HDMI to the tv, one to feed converter below) with hdcp removal (you will have to buy a cheap Chinese made one and see if it does - some do, some don't) One hdmi to scart (or composite) adapter to feed the dvd recorder.
