General plan of attack is dp, full exhaust system, adjust the smic to catch better airflow, turbo (if possible) and either stage 2 or 3 custom code remap. Im looking for about 130bhp ish. im not chasing numbers but this sort of output suould bring a smile to the face in a car that weighs about 985kg!
The 2.0 TDI is a development of the 1.9 block, but had to be done because the 1.9 is a very slow revving engine and won't meet forthcoming regulations in super tuned format hence the slow disappearance of 1.9TDI 130/150 block cars.
The Fabia vRS is a 1.4 TSi engine and doesn't need super unleaded. The octavia vRS from 2009 is a 2.0 TSi and doesn't need super unleaded. The 2006 octavia vRS (which the OP is looking at) used a 2.0 TFSi engine which can run on 95 Ron when necessaey but should always run on super where available.
Dieseldorf, Comparing the Mobil-1 Super Syn 0W-40 (505.00 compliant) to the Truck and SUV 5W-40, are there any advantages/disadvantages to either. Does the T&SUV have better detergents for diesel engines? My Father has a 2003 Jetta TDI ALH and wanted to clarify. Also, thanks for your advise on 506.01.
I have the 1.6 tdi. I like it. I find it gets to speed quite quickly in 3rd and 4th. The 2.0 fr owners though seem to be getting better mpg than me though. It's quite hard to get a high mpg in the 1.6 because it has to work harder to get to speed and has one less gear. But the new ecomotive has 6 gears and a nice body kit.
If the goal was for a higher revving TDI with a displacement less than 1.9 then this would be the (18.5:1 vs 19:1) CR. Ash . keaton Veteran Member. Joined Apr 21
1.9 TDI lasts long thanks to some very resilient quality on Volkswagen’s part and even longer if the engine is well maintained and serviced. You could very easily make it past 200,000 miles with a 1.9 engined car. In a lot of cases, there are cars with more than 300,000 miles on the clock, but even that’s not the full potential of the 1.9 TDI.
#1 Hi, I was wondering if anybody could explain or outline the main differences between the 1.9tdi 2.0tdi on a manual transmission 55reg a3 Thank you Ash B Registered User Joined Jul 19, 2008 Messages 5,826 Reaction score 84 Points 48 Location Cardiff South Wales Sep 2, 2009 #2 1.9tdi 105bhp and 2.0tdi 140bhp.
Either a 2.0 FSI, the 1.9 TDI, a later model 2.0 TDI or a GTI engine is the best choices of engines, the 1.4 75PS is slow and the 1.6fsi is slower on the road than the 1.9 and the cost of running premium fuel (which you have to do otherwise you'll get all sorts of rough running problems and emissions lights) negates any cost deficit in terms of
1.6 TDI engine - Volkswagen, Audi, Ĺ koda, Seat. The 1.6 TDI engine was launched in March 2009, and although it was based on the larger 2.0 TDI CR, differs from it in several solutions. The modern design uses a common-rail system, a four-valve cylinder head, piezo injectors, a plastic intake manifold, a floating flywheel, a variable geometry
